St. James’s Children’s Center celebrates 25 years
In acknowledgement of 25 years of history, The St. James’s Childrens’ Center is initiating a new scholarship effort. The John Conrad Memorial Scholarship Fund creates a new way for families to demonstrate their commitment to the education of their children, and it establishes a way for donors to support that important commitment. The new fund was named for John Conrad, Jr., a young Richmond resident who passed away at age 14 in 1993 of tubular sclerosis complex, a progressive genetic disease. The scholarship money, awarded in May of each year, will be given to those families who, through the application process, recognize how the Childrens’ Center is beneficial to their child and demonstrate a dedication to the Center and a true commitment to their child’s education. St. James’s hopes you will consider making a gift in support of these wonderful children. For more information about this scholarship please contact Cynthia Roe Brown at 804-358-9788.
