The Feast of St. James’s

 

The Feast of St. James’s is an annual celebration of the ministries of the church and our lives together as a parish.  It is a time of joyful thanksgiving at an elegant banquet as we consider our stewardship journey.  It is the beginning of the Annual Giving campaign and a time when we prayerfully reflect on our commitment to Love and Serve God and Neighbor.

The event is free to all parishioners and is an occasion that you will not want to miss.  Ty Toepke and Sally Starling are the co-chairs for the Feast.  Our parishioners prepare and serve the fabulous meal, drinks and hors d’oeuvres. They also create colorful decorations and present an entertaining musical program.  It is an opportunity to meet new parishioners and enjoy wonderful fellowship with the whole parish.

We are thankful for the 2012 Annual Giving co-chairs, Ron Cain and Eleanor Angle.  Pledge Sunday, October 30, is when parishioners will have the opportunity to present their pledges at the altar.  As we reflect on the many blessings we receive from God, please prayerfully consider how you can be a blessing in supporting the many rewarding ministries of St. James’s.
