We're so glad you're here.

St. James’s Episcopal Church is a welcoming community of the faithful drawn from throughout the Greater Richmond area to our historic urban campus to worship God. Emblazoned above our altar are the words of our patron saint, ‚ÄúBe ye doers of the word and not hearers only.‚Äù Inspired to embody those words, our mission is to bear witness to the good news of Jesus Christ in our immediate neighborhood and the wider world, and to heed Christ’s call to serve God by serving others.

The next rector has been called to St. James's!

The vestry has called the Rev. Beth Franklin to be St. James's 15th rector. She will begin her ministry with us on September 28. Thanks be to God.
