Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage

Every year, Pilgrims bike and walk the Camino trails in Spain/France that have been used for over a thousand years. In 2013 Dr. Mark Cooper and his daughter, Laura, started on the Camino de Santiago; 177 miles later they entered the Cathedral of St. James in Santiago de Campostella. Dr. Cooper is returning to travel over another section of the Walk – this time by bicycle. Each day will start and end with a time of meditation and the participants are encouraged to think of the trip as a time for a life review. There will be free time for side tours so you can make the trip your own adventure. Dr. Cooper will discuss his recent book, Mapping Your Adventure: Discovering Integrity in a Life Review. More information about the book can be found at markcooperauthor.com.

This pilgrimage is fully subscribed currently, but if you are interested in a possible participation in the event of a drop-out, contact Mark Cooper. Prior to leaving for Spain the group who decide to make this trip will become acquainted, will receive an orientation to biking and minor bike repair, and will take training rides in preparation for the trip.

The trip will be directed by an experienced company: CaminoWay (CaminoWays.com). Arrangements for the trip will include hotel accommodations, breakfast and evening meals, rental bikes, course maps and support.

Considered moderately difficult and covering approximately 35 miles per day, the trip will begin on May 14 in Leon, Spain and will end in Santiago de Campostella on May 20, 2017. The approximate cost for the trip including hotels, meals, bikes etc. will be $1050.00 Travelers will need to secure their own flights to Europe and back home and may want to travel in Europe before or after the trip.
