Leading into Advent we begin a new year in our Revised Common Lectionary, and Luke will be our gospel heard Sunday mornings in worship. In a commentary on Luke, Jesus is called The Compassionate Christ — we’ll discover if that is true. We’ll explore how preachers might approach the text for that Sunday and if you were preaching, what would you say? We’ll meet in the Parkinson Room (ideally) or over Zoom (if necessary for safety).
