Paint, sew, decorate and offer a “helping hand”
A transitional housing program and residence for individuals who are challenged with mental health disorders. Volunteers meet volunteers meet several times a year on an as needed basis to “freshen up” an apartment and make it ready for a new resident. Time to be determined. Contact: Mary Slaughter, 775-4346
The Peter Paul Development Center’s Learning Garden is need of volunteers to help keep this wonderful garden thriving and to interact with the students in the garden. Volunteers are needed from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, April through October, to assist a garden educator from Tricycle Gardens who will work with the students. Additional help is needed with weekly watering, weeding, and harvesting chores around the garden. If you can give one to two hours per week for a one to two month commitment, please join the PPDC Garden Gang.
