Opened in the fall of 2011, the Family Library at St. James’s is on the second floor of Michaux House. This library has a variety of books for children of all ages from specific Bible heroes to Christmas stories to faith-centered fiction. There is something for everyone. The library is open each Sunday morning, as well as on Wednesday evenings from 4:00 p.m. through church dinner. In addition to books you can check out, the library also offers a “Celebrate a Child” program where you can purchase a designated book for our library in honor of a child’s baptism, birthday, confirmation or any other special event. Name plates honoring the child will be placed in these books before the books are placed in the Family Library. These special books will be a great blessing to all our readers. Many thanks to Laura Strickler and Marsha Carter for their amazing ministry in organizing this space for the children of St. James’s.
