The service of evensong was help with the Concert Choir of Norfolk State University, Dr. Carl Haywood, director, and the choirs of St. James's Episcopal Church, Dr. Mark Whitmire, director, and Virginia Ewing Whitmire, choirmaster. The service was in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and was the thirteenth annual celebration in this series.
