I am having so many wonderful experiences at St. James’s not only as a deacon in training but also as getting to know many of you. Your friendliness, laughter, joy, encouragement, and compassionate desire to truly “be doers of the word” shines forth, and I am so happy to be here with each of you.
There is so much to learn liturgically, and Randy is a terrific mentoring priest and friend to help guide me along. I feel that I am progressing at a good pace and am on schedule. My school work is continuous year round with much reading, group projects, and many papers to write, and I am doing well in my work. If all continues to go well, including the big Canonical exams in November, then I will be ordained as a Deacon sometime in April 2016.
Also, I have just finished my third year of EfM and will get a summer break for that portion of my studies. Next year I will graduate from EfM.
I want to thank the congregation of St. James’s for your amazing support and genuine compassion for welcoming my husband and me into your loving Christian community.
Faithfully Yours in Christ,
