Holiday Food Sale and Bake Shop to benefit Food Force
Holiday Food Sale and Bake Shop
Whether it’s appetizers for a Christmas cocktail party for 75 or just a simple dinner for your family when the holiday shopping frenzy sets in, Taste of St. James’s is the perfect way to sail through those wonderful-yet-hectic weeks that begin with the warmth of family and friends at Thanksgiving. Delicious pre-order family-sized casseroles include gourmet chicken pot pie again this year while soups, appetizers and desserts will be available for purchase at the event. All proceeds will benefit the St. James’s Food Force, a ministry that prepares food for the homeless and working poor families in the City of Richmond.
All orders made in advance will be prepared by members of St. James’s Episcopal Church and be ready for pick up in Valentine Hall on November 15th . That’s the evening when you can also enjoy appetizers, wine and fellowship in addition to selecting and buying other gourmet items to fill your basket. If you would like to help cook on a team or at home, or help at the event, please visit the online sign up or email Lile Benaicha or Marjorie Childress. If you want to bake something for us to sell, just contact Leigh Hulcher. Here are the Bake Shop guidelines.
