Once again, St. James’s is partnering with World Pediatric Project to help heal children from around the world. On October 6, Sofia (age 5) will travel from Honduras to Richmond, accompanied by her mother Angela. Sofia was born with a rare condition called Apert Syndrome, and is ready for the second stage of her surgical treatment. Our Missions Committee has committed the funds to make the surgery happen—now while they are here, St. James’s will be their family and will provide as much love and support as possible. Volunteers are needed to help with rides to appointments, hospital visits, and fun outings such as Maymont, the Children’s Museum, etc. This is a great opportunity to serve and get the whole family involved! To get involved, contact Lisa Rossi at email@example.com or The Rev. Carmen Germino at firstname.lastname@example.org, 804-355-1779.
