Here is a checklist of things to know and consider before attending in-person worship at St. James’s. The safety and health of our church family is our number one concern and we will follow all COVID-19 safety protocols. Please help us make worship spirit-inspired and safety-driven for us all.
Pre-register online for the service you wish to attend:

- It is necessary for contact tracing and planning
- You will help ensure that safe capacity limits are in force
- Priority access to the service will be given to registered parties – after that, attendees will only be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis if capacity is available.
Plan ahead & know before you arrive:
• We will seat households together – defining “households” per the Governor’s Executive Orders: related people living in the same residence
• Extended families will be asked to observe social distancing at the service and be seated separately
• Take temperatures – if anyone in your party is running a fever, please stay home and stay safe
• Gather your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): all attendees will be required to wear masks throughout your time on campus
• Print the bulletin from the website
• Plan to park in the deck
• Allow extra time for parking, queuing, signing in, temperature checks, and being seated
When you arrive at the church:
- Park in the Deck
- Only related parties should share the elevator at the parking deck
- Use the high visibility crosswalk at Ryland to cross to Beth Ahabah
- Proceed up the sidewalk to the sanctuary entrance observing distancing
Once at the sanctuary:
• Observe signage directing traffic flow to the sanctuary front entrance – observe 6′ distancing while in line and checking in
• You must wear your mask – it’s the law
• Wait to be called forward to the check-in table by an usher
• Temperature check – 100.4F or higher will be denied entry and asked to return to your vehicle maintaining social distance.
• Attendance will be recorded for contact tracing
• Sanitizer and gloves will be available, and boxed water
• Restrooms available beneath the Narthex
• An usher will escort each household to seating in the sanctuary, monitoring distance and safety protocols
• Services will be shortened to allow as many attendees as possible to participate
• Music will be live but there will be no congregational singing
• At the conclusion of the service – please remain at your seats until released and escorted by an usher

Protocol for contact tracing, communicating, and sanitizing per exposure/contraction
