High School Mission

Appalachia Youth Mission (For current 9^th – 12^th graders & HS graduates not yet 21)

June 21-27, 2025

What: Hurley Community Development Center, Hurley, VA (www.hurleycommunitydevelopment.org)

Who: Up to 12 youth & 2-3 adults

Description: We headed back to Hurley Community Development Center to work hand-in-hand with local residents as they perform home repairs, cleaning projects, painting, yard work, farming, etc for their neighbors. Our days will be full of projects and time interacting with local residents, and during the evenings we enjoyed free time to relax, hang out, worship, explore the local area, and build meaningful relationships. We stay in bunkhouses at the center and eat in their dining hall. At the end of the week we spend a day or two enjoying fun recreation in the Shenandoah Valley.
