Be Ye Doers of the Word and Not Hearers Only Start Doing

Thank you so much for wanting to learn more about St. James’s Episcopal Church. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we’re prepared to meet you there. Our active, inclusive and urban church offers you so many ways to build authentic relationships, find meaningful opportunities to serve, and countless ways to deepen your faith.

Whether you’re a family looking for your new church home, a lifelong Episcopalian seeking a new community of believers, or someone who’s still searching for a congregation you can feel comfortable with, we’re eager to meet you and show you all the ways this special church can be exactly what you’re looking for.

Located in Richmond, Virginia’s historic Fan district, we’re a community drawn together by our love of God and our desire to serve Christ in the world. We pray together, work together, learn, laugh, and sing together. We try every day to share a little bit of God’s love with our hurting world. If that sounds like a place you’d like to be, we’d love to meet you.

Wednesday Evening Service

5:00 pm Outdoor Holy Eucharist

On Wednesday, May 5, we will resume a short Holy Eucharist Service that will be held each week in the Memorial Garden located between the sanctuary and the Parish House.  No registration is required but we do request that attendees wear a fask mask/covering.  All are welcome to a service that shares Holy Communion in a pretty outdoor setting – and a prayerful, quiet moment in your day that you won’t want to miss.
