Put on your comfy clothes, bring a folding chair and/or blanket, and join us for the St. James’s Spring Picnic at Rock Bottom!

We’ll have Lee’s Fried Chicken and Biscuits, and we’re asking you to help make the picnic complete by bringing a side dish or dessert to share. Beer and Wine will be available, as well as water, tea, and lemonade.

Come have a good time down by the river, right here in Richmond.

You can purchase your tickets, sign up to bring some food and volunteer here.

$10 per adult /$5 per child / $20 for a family.

Directions to Rock Bottom:

Go to the stoplight at River Road Shopping Center. The entrance to Rock Bottom is south, toward the river.

It is accessed by the small-paved road which is sandwiched between two mysterious facilities along River Road exactly at the traffic light intersection of River Road and Huguenot Road.

There are several mailboxes at the intersection where you will turn. You’ll see balloons attached to the mailboxes.

Once you’ve gotten onto that small road, continue along, crossing a tiny wooden bridge, veer to the left, go over the railroad tracks (please stop and look) and you make an almost immediate left turn to a gravel road.

We will have signs and balloons there. Follow that road until you see the parking area – we will have someone directing you.
