Ice Cream & Conversation

DOER volunteers¬†are invited to join a ministry team that provides ice cream and friendly visits to patients in the polytrauma and spinal cord units of the Richmond VA Medical Center (formerly McGuire Veteran’s Hospital). The majority of these patients are not local and have no family or friends to visit them. Our special ministry is able to make a big difference in the lives of these men and women with the small offering of a dessert and a moment of conversation.

Our enthusiastic St. James’s team meets at 5:45 pm every 1st Tuesday of the month.
