When you give to St. James’s you empower our hands to do more, share more, and bring more to our neighbors and to each other. Your gift supports the development, growth and blossoming of our church—and, not by accident, each one of us too.
As you’ll see below, there are many ways to support St. James’s – as easy as writing and sending a check, to gifts of securities, planned gifts, pledging to our Annual Giving Campaign and so much more. If you have questions about any of these options or have another means of sharing with St. James’s in mind, call the Development Office at 804-355 1779. For your convenience and/or documentation that may be needed by your broker or tax adviser, St. James’s Tax ID # is: 54-0515726.
And finally – thank you. We are sincerely grateful for all love and support directed to St. James’s.

Each year St. James’s Annual Giving Campaign seeks support from the church family for the following calendar year. This year the theme of our campaign is Reconnect/Recommit. Your 2023 pledge today will enable our Vestry leaders to plan for a year that sees our church becoming more of what we can be together – more comforting, more welcoming and more life-changing. You can pledge online here.
Read our Pledge Q&A for answers to all of your questions about pledges.
Memorial and honoraria gifts to St. James’s are a special way to support your church and recognize the life or passing of your friend or family member, or a member of our church community. Gifts can be made via check or through our online giving platform. To give online, select “memorial gift” from the drop down menu in the “giving type” field and you will be able to add the name and/or other details about the honoree in a memo field. Once received, your gift will be recognized by the Development Office and notification of your generosity is shared with the honoree or the bereaved/family members of loved ones who have passed away.
Gifts of stock or funds from your individual retirement account (IRA) can be made to the church. Click here for more information and instructions.
