Thank you for your response to God’s call to serve.

Here’s a partial list of our ministries.

Acolyte Ministry

Our Acolyte Ministry is comprised of young people, sixth grade and older, who serve as crucifers (the lead crucifer assists the priest with the elements at the altar), banner bearers and torch bearers during the worship services.  Due to COVID, changes in safety regulations have required us to suspend  Acolyte service. We will likely wait until fall 2021to launch again, and will have training for new and current acolytes.

Wheels Ministry

This is one of the easiest and most satisfying ministries available to St. James’s’ members. You provide transportation on Sunday mornings to gracious and grateful Westminster Canterbury residents who attend the 11:15 am worship service. Training for driving the WCR van is provided. Our goal is to engage 8 to 10 drivers so each Wheels Ministry member only has to drive once every two months. Open your heart, then open the doors of the church to people who otherwise can’t get here.
