Stuart Circle Parish Council

Get to know the Stuart Circle Parish Council.

Stuart Circle Parish Council (SCPC) represents an ecumenical partnership among congregations located near Stuart Circle but is increasing its partnerships with churches and agencies located in other areas. As neighbors and faithful Christians who share the Gospel, we support one another, and work together to love and serve the Lord. We share special events and encourage participation among our congregations, while also providing a particular focus on community need and advocacy for those who are marginalized and in need of support. Circle Center Adult Day Services, represented on SCPC is an example of the cooperative work of our congregations working together to address a critical community need. Since its opening in 1976, Circle Center has served thousands of older adults and their families. Of course, its most popular and familiar event, the annual Palm Sunday worship and parade, complete with donkey and marching band is hosted by SCPC.

SCPC is represented by: Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cathedral of Sacred Heart, Circle Center Adult Day Services, First English Lutheran Church, Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, St. James’s Episcopal Church, St. John’s United Church of Christ, and The Pace Center. The Rev. Penny Nash and Nancy Warman (chair) serve as representatives of St. James’s.
